Week 1 - Reframe midlife
Overview
We kick off by reframing how you see midlife. You’ll explore what the science says about happiness in midlife, how life expectancy has changed dramatically over time, and why your perspective on this phase shapes everything that follows. We’ll introduce the U-shaped happiness curve, and how your outlook naturally shifts in midlife — although you might not have realised it until now.
This week lays the groundwork for everything to come: giving you a clear, more confident lens on this phase of life.

Week 2 - Uncover what sits at your core
Overview
In week 2, we’ll start your self-exploration journey by reconnecting with what really matters to you.
You’ll take a fresh look at your personal values — not the ones you inherited or feel you “should” have, but the ones that truly guide your choices today. Through reflection and practical exercises, you’ll start noticing where your current life aligns (or clashes) with those core values.

Week 4 - Rewrite your story
Overview
This week, you’ll explore the roles, responsibilities, and internal scripts that have shaped your life so far. We’ll unpack the expectations you’ve inherited or absorbed: who you thought you had to be, what success should look like, and how your personal drivers have guided your choices. It’s time to let go of outdated stories and choose new ones based on who you want to be in midlife.
Outcomes
You’ll gain clarity on which stories still serve you, and which don’t. You’ll begin rewriting your definition of success, using your own values as the compass. And you’ll leave with a more empowering lens to guide your next steps, not out of duty, but choice.
Week 5 - Clarify your reasons to live
Overview
You’ll identify the inner saboteurs and outdated beliefs that hold you back, often disguised as logic, perfectionism or ‘being realistic.’ Then, we’ll introduce ikigai — a practical Japanese framework to help you uncover the intersection where purpose and meaning feel real and achievable.
Outcomes
You’ll spot the inner voices that drain your energy, and learn how to challenge them. You’ll also build your own ikigai map, giving you a personalised guide to what brings you meaning, motivation, and a reason to get up in the morning. And you’ll walk away with a clearer sense of how to shape a life that feels both fulfilling and energising.

Week 6 - Define your why
Overview
This week, it all comes together. You’ll understand what purpose -your why– really is, and some of the different paths you could take to build yours. You’ll also draw from everything you’ve uncovered about yourself -your values, strengths, personality, stories, and motivators- to write a personal life purpose statement that feels true to you. A grounded, powerful declaration of how you want to live, lead, and contribute from here.
Depending on the schedule for your group, your second live group coaching session may take place this week. You’ll receive all details in a separate email.

Week 7 - Face life's turning points head-on
Overview
This week is all about transitions: the shifts, endings, and in-between bits that leave you feeling a bit unmoored. You’ll get to know the three stages of transition (endings, the messy middle, and new beginnings) and explore the 8 types of change that often show up around midlife, from work to health, from identity to relationships, and more.
If your second live group coaching session didn’t happen in Week 6, it will take place this week. You’ll receive all details in a separate email.

Week 8 - Strengthen your midlife toolkit
Overview
This week is all about giving you practical tools to navigate change. You’ll explore a range of midlife traits that help you move through transitions: things like resilience, mindset, curiosity, acceptance, creativity, and more.
Some of these you already have, others are still developing. And a few might feel a little out of reach right now – but that’s OK. This is your chance to take stock and see what’s working, what’s missing, and where to grow next.

We’ll explore what it means to grow older with intention – drawing on your lived experience, your hard-earned wisdom, and your desire to keep growing, giving, and showing up. You’ll reflect on themes like legacy, reinvention, visibility, and connection. And you’ll begin to shape what the next 10, 20, or even 30 years could look like… on your terms.

By the end of this week, you’ll have a personal definition of what ageing well means to you, and how you want to live it. You’ll identify what keeps you energised and relevant, and map out practical ways to stay engaged, connected and purposeful in this next chapter. What is the difference between 'Transforming Midlife - Solo Track' and 'Transforming Midlife - Guided Track'?
Solo Track: Completely self-paced and on-demand, perfect if you’re highly self-motivated. You get instant access to the entire programme as soon as you enrol, so you can work through it in your own time and at your own rhythm.
Guided Track: Designed to keep you focused and moving forward. The programme unfolds week by week over 12 weeks, so you stay consistent and avoid overwhelm. The real game-changer is the three live coaching sessions with an MCA Faculty member. You’ll get personal guidance, accountability, and insights tailored to you, so you don’t just learn the tools, you actually use them to create change.
Do I need to log in at a specific time?
For the Guided Track, new content is released every Monday. You’ll have the entire week to watch the videos, explore the additional reading materials, and complete the exercises, entirely on your own schedule.
The only set times are for the three live coaching sessions. We encourage you to join live if you can, as it’s a great opportunity to get personal guidance and ask questions. But don’t worry if you can’t make it. Every session is recorded and shared, so you can watch it later whenever it suits you.
How many hours per week do I need to dedicate to this programme?
Weekly content is sent every Monday and will take 2-3 hours to complete, working at your own pace. There are also three 90-minute live events. But remember, everything is recorded, so you can consume this at your own pace, on your own schedule. The programme is designed so that even with a full-time job and family commitments, you can stay on track and succeed.
Do I have to finish watching each video before I can access the next one?
Yes, you need to watch each video before moving on to the next. The videos are where you’ll learn the key concepts, tools, and strategies – and they build on each other step by step.
Skipping ahead would be like jumping into a conversation halfway through. You’d miss the context that makes everything click.
Watching them in order ensures you get the full benefit of the programme and can apply the tools effectively.
Are the exercises mandatory?
Most of the videos are mandatory because they give you the core concepts and tools you’ll need. The exercises aren’t technically required, but we strongly recommend doing as many as possible.
This programme is all about action and applying what you learn. Watching the videos gives you the knowledge, but it’s the exercises that turn that knowledge into real change.
When are the live sessions?
The live sessions take place in weeks 1, 6 or 7, and 12 of your programme. You’ll have received the dates and times when you enrolled, and we’ll also send you email reminders and invitations to join live as the sessions approach.
All live sessions are recorded and shared, so you can watch them later at a time that suits you. However, we recommend joining live if you can because each session is a great chance to get personal guidance and ask questions.
What happens if I miss one of the live sessions?
Although we do recommend joining live if you can, we understand life gets in the way sometimes.
Our live sessions are recorded, and we share these recordings with all programme participants so you can (re)watch them in your own time.
How long do I have access to the programme?
Once you enrol, you’ll have 12 months’ access to the online platform, including all videos, exercises, and additional reading materials. You can revisit and retake the course at any time during this period (note: this does not include any live sessions).
