Inside Midlife Crossroads Academy
Our mission?
To empower 100,000 midlifers to stop drifting, take charge of what’s next, and create a chapter that’s not just new, but extraordinary.
That’s quite an ambition, right? But it shows just how fired up we are about this next chapter — yours, ours, all of ours.
Midlife Crossroads Academy is a place to pause, reflect, and grow. A safe spot to reconnect with who you are and figure out how to make the most of midlife. We don’t hand out roadmaps. Instead, we give you the tools to build your own compass, so you can move forward with confidence.
This is your time to rethink, reframe, and rediscover. Not just for yourself, but for the impact you still want to make. Because midlife isn’t winding down, it’s choosing to give back. On your own terms.
Hi there!
I’m Tamara, the founder of Midlife Crossroads Academy
A little about me
I didn’t start out as a coach.
For years, I lived life at full speed. Barcelona, London, Sydney, Brussels – I was always on the move. I managed teams, led big projects, launched businesses, and ticked all the ‘successful grown-up’ boxes that looked great on paper. I was proud of what I’d built. I was also juggling all the roles: writer, wife, mum, dreamer, mentor, perfectionist. You name it, I wore the hat.
Then my early forties hit, and things started to feel off. All these questions bubbled up – about my work, my choices, who I really was, where I was heading. From the outside, everything looked great. But inside, all these alarm bells were going off. Loud ones.
Midlife had arrived, and it hit me harder than I’d expected.
Figuring it out (the slow, messy way)
I’ve always admired people who’ve turned things around. The ones who’ve faced the hard stuff, done the work, and transformed their life. That takes guts. And a lot of showing up, even when it’s messy.
And now it was my turn. It wasn’t fast. And it definitely wasn’t easy. It took several years of reflection, honest conversations, and more false starts than I care to admit. But slowly, I figured it out.
I learned to actually listen to myself. And to stay curious, not just about what I wanted to do next, but about who I wanted to be. And once that clicked, everything changed.
Why I do what I do now
At 48, I retrained as a certified life coach and ikigai coach to help other midlifers do the same: navigate change, find clarity, and create a life that actually feels like theirs.
Starting Midlife Crossroads Academy was simply the next step. Now, I get to do what I love most – helping people reconnect with who they are, figure out what truly matters, and shape a future that excites them.
Because here’s the thing: midlife can feel disorienting, but it’s also full of possibility. When you actually start listening to yourself, things begin to shift. You feel more confident. More at ease. And, bit by bit, life starts to feel like it really fits.
And honestly? Watching people step into that version of themselves is the best job in the world.
